Route Description:

From the North Face car park follow the forestry track toward the CIC Hut path, then branch off to climb steep slopes and a clear path to the summit of Càrn Mòr Dearg (1,220 m). From here descend slightly to reach the narrow Càrn Mòr Dearg Arête, an exposed but straightforward rocky ridge linking the two mountains. Follow the arête across with hands occasionally needed for balance before reaching the final steep ascent onto the plateau of Ben Nevis (1,345 m), the highest mountain in the UK. Descend via the Mountain Track toward Glen Nevis, returning to Fort William.
