🏕️ Wild Camp: Camping on Munro
🚲 Bike and Hike: Roads are far to hazardous ❌
💧 Water Sources: Start and Finish at Cafe
🏊 Wild Swim/Dip: many lochins as well as River Etive
🅿️ Parking: Large car park at ski center
The hike starts from the ski car park, heading up the hill at the back alongside the gondola pylons until you reach the plateau near the top café. From there, you can either take the more gradual shoulder ascent or continue straight up the steeper incline for a more direct approach. After reaching the first summit Meall a'Bhuiridh, head southwest along the shoulder before tackling a very steep section that leads onto a narrow, one-sided ridge, which you follow carefully North to the second summit Creise. From there, retrace your steps back to the car park. In winter, remain aware of skiers in the area, snow plough activity near the access roads, and the potential for strong winds and drifting snow along the ridge and steeper sections.
